You are the brand team

For brand and insights teams

You are past launch. You have primary research and a tracker. What you do not have is a systematic read of what patients, clinicians and AI assistants are saying in public, and the questions keep surfacing in brand planning.

How an engagement runs

Step 1
Landscape
Twelve months of public conversation read once against the questions you agreed. The baseline.
Step 2
Calibrate
A session with your team: which answers surprised, which questions to retire, what to watch.
Step 3
Track
Quarterly or monthly, your choice. Continuous collection and adverse-event screening either way.
Year two
Renew
Tracking continues at the tracking fee. No new landscape unless the questions change.

What lands in your brand-planning deck

A landscape study to open, then answer reports on the rhythm you choose, share of voice in social media and in AI answers, event briefs when something happens, and the classified data behind all of it for your own analysts.

Before you brief us

  • Public sources only. No closed groups, no gated patient networks, no login-only forums. If a conversation lives behind a login, we say so instead of implying we have it.
  • Patient and clinician voice is separated by classification after collection, then checked by a person wherever a post carries weight. The search itself cannot tell them apart, and neither can anyone else's.
  • Two partners plus automation. A landscape study is weeks, not days, and we would rather tell you that than promise a date we cannot hold.
  • Adverse events are screened continuously and handled to your pharmacovigilance protocol by trained readers, forwarded on business days. We do not moderate and we do not run a command centre.
  • No private individual is ever named in a deliverable. Organisations and public figures only. Source links go into an internal appendix under the agreed protocol.
  • We do not recruit or contact patients. That is your primary-research partner's lane; when a question needs interviews, we hand it off to them with a brief built from the listening.

The work

Multi-market patient study

Patient perspectives across the US, Europe and Japan

Challenge

A global pharmaceutical company needed to understand patient perspectives on a chronic skin condition and its complications: how patients in different markets discover information, manage risk, and make treatment decisions.

Delivered

A multi-market intelligence programme combining patient panel consulting with social media community analysis across US, European and Japanese patient communities. A persona-based method surfaced patterns beyond individual stories.

Result

The programme revealed gaps in patient information pathways that shaped the company's engagement strategy. Findings were structured for potential regulatory submission use.

AI share-of-voice pilot

What AI assistants tell patients about a therapy area

Challenge

A brand team asked a question their tracker could not answer: when a patient asks an AI assistant about their condition, which products does it name, and which sources does it trust?

Delivered

A monthly panel of unbranded patient questions put to three AI engines, each asked several times to average out chance, scored for which companies and products are named and which websites are cited. Added as a page to the monthly report next to social share of voice.

Result

A baseline the brand can move, and a list of the sources the engines actually cite, which is where visibility is earned.

Japan, covered by specialists

Starling is a Japan specialist in competitive intelligence and healthcare monitoring. Japanese is read fluently in-house by a principal with business relationships in Tokyo and direct access to Japanese patient advocacy organisations, pharma news and social media. That is often where an Asia-Pacific move first shows up, weeks before English coverage, and where English-only programmes go quiet.

It sits on top of full coverage everywhere else. English, German and French are read in-house, and every other language is collected and machine-translated for counting.

If your brand has a Japanese partner or a Japanese market, the Japanese patient conversation is a natural extension, switched on for the length of the subscription.

How we charge

A fixed fee for the landscape study, then an annual subscription priced by reporting rhythm, quarterly or monthly, with the platform licence, adverse-event handling and language reading inside it. We quote after one call, once the questions are known.
