Nina Michels-Kim is an international business leader with over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, healthcare sectors, and empowering business professionals. Born in Japan to a Japanese mother and an American father, she brings a unique global perspective to business. Her career background includes significant roles in controlling and financial planning & analysis (FP&A) at pharmaceutical firms Sandoz, Novartis, and Merck & Co. (MSD).
As the founder and CEO of Starling Limited, she provides strategic consulting on market intelligence, healthcare analysis, and cross-cultural dynamics. In previous consultancy engagements, she served as a director of IMA (Institute of Management Accountants), a global non-profit association, where she empowered finance leaders in Europe, Japan, and Korea to navigate complex challenges and lead with confidence across borders.
Nina holds both CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and CSCA (Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis) certifications and established the IMA Switzerland chapter in 2009. She was recently appointed to the IMA's Global Board of Directors for 2025-2026 and will serve on its Strategic Planning Committee, further solidifying her influence in the global finance community.
